Coming back to her home nestled among the cedars in Washington’s Olympic Peninsula after a year wandering the parks and public lands of the U.S., Liz fell head over heels in love with making pottery.

Each piece starts out thrown on the wheel in either dark brown stoneware or white porcelain. Many pieces are altered after throwing, and the surfaces enhanced via techniques such as carving the form, inlaying or carving through colored slips, or inlaying glazes. Liz works in a soothing palette of glazes she continues to develop, reflecting the colors of the trees, moss, and plentiful waters around her studio.

Wandering Cedar Ceramics pieces are all microwave and dishwasher safe, although handwashing is preferred to avoid banging into other items.
